I am delighted to welcome you to Cadouin, at the crossroads of the Périgord Pourpre and the Périgord Noir, between Sarlat and Bergerac.

As a porcelain painter and former art teacher, I have been passionately restoring this former gendarmerie since March 2025, while preserving its authenticity and history. Opening the front door, dating back to 1606, means stepping into a place where history meets creativity.

By creating a warm atmosphere with a distinctive artistic identity, both peaceful and inspiring, I imagined each room as a unique space combining heritage materials, softness and creativity.

Located just a short walk from the Abbey of Cadouin, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the house is the perfect starting point for exploring Dordogne and the Périgord region.

Nearby, you can discover medieval bastide towns such as Monpazier, charming villages including Limeuil, prehistoric caves and impressive chasms. The region is also perfect for exploring the Dordogne and Vézère valleys, as well as the lively towns of Sarlat and Bergerac, famous for their markets, picturesque streets and renowned vineyards.

After your visits, you are welcome to enjoy the garden, lounge and kitchen — shared spaces designed for relaxation, tranquillity and conversation.

I also invite you to discover my workshop, where I offer introductory porcelain painting sessions, allowing you to enjoy a creative experience during your stay.

I designed the shared spaces as welcoming living areas dedicated to relaxation and sharing moments together. The lounge and dining room welcome you into an authentic and friendly atmosphere, where exposed beams and stone walls tell the story of the house. It is the ideal place to relax, chat or simply enjoy a peaceful moment. You are also welcome to enjoy the piano, card games, board games and puzzles. The shared kitchen is available for you to prepare your meals freely. It is distinguished by hand-painted tiles created by myself. Book lovers may also enjoy the library, which includes a variety of books as well as publications and magazines dedicated to the region, available on the small landing area. Books and magazines are for on-site reading only.
The upstairs area is accessible from 8:30 am to 11:00 pm.

General terms and conditions of rental

Arrival
I welcome guests for check-inb between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm.


Departure
Rooms must be vacated before 11:00 am.

Cancellation/Prepayment/Deposit
Reservation :
The reservation becomes effective once the guest has paid the owner a deposit equal to 40% of the total cost of the stay. If the reservation is for only one night, it becomes effective once the guest has paid the full amount of the stay.
Cancellation :
Please note that in the event of a cancellation made less than 72 hours before the scheduled arrival date, of one or more nights, without a serious reason (such as death, hospitalization, etc.) and for which you are unable to provide written proof, I will be obliged, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, to charge the full amount of the stay originally booked (excluding tourist tax).
